These phones can have a headset key programmed by you. However, depending upon the PABX, this may be one of the following two methods:
The speakerphone will be disabled and the [ANS/RLS] light will be on "steady" to indicate headset is active. Use [ANS/RLS] button to answer and hangup calls
Plantronics corded:
Any H or HW series headset and an M22 amplifier. An alternative is a H or HW series headset and an A10 Direct Connect cable

When using a headset, you can program the SPEAKER KEY and so avoid having to pick up your telephone handset to answer and hang up your calls. Simply:

Switch position A, adjust your transmission level using the +/- buttons on the base, adjust your receive level using the +/- buttons on the headset top, standard telephone cord wiring.
Jabra wireless headsets can also use the optional GN1000 Handset Lifter. However, if this lifter is used, your telephone MUST be programmed to HANDSET mode (see above programming instructions).

These phones can have a headset key programmed by you. To do this:
Your keyset may be equipped with a Headset mode key. If it is so equipped pressing this key while the light is out will cause the keyset to enter headset mode and the light will illuminate to indicate this. Pressing the key while the light is lit will cause the keyset to return to handset mode and the light will go out.
Plantronics corded:
Any H or HW series headset and an M22 amplifier. An alternative is a H or HW series headset and an A10 Direct Connect cable
Plantronics CS510, CS520, CS530 & CS540 and Savi series:
Switch position A, Transmit 2.5, Receive 2.5, standard telephone cord wiring. These can also be used with the optional HL10 Handset Lifter.

These phones have a dedicated headset port on the bottom of the phone. Use the "Headset Button" to answer and release calls.
Plantronics corded:
Any H or HW series headset and an M22 amplifier. Please note that a H series headset and an A10 Direct Connect cable WILL NOT WORK - there will be no transmission.
